The Liebster Award

Hello blog friends!

I was nominated for the Liebster award, which is an awesome award to help encourage the discovery of new blogs! 😊 Since the folks around here are lovely, I was nominated by two different blogs, meaning I have a lot of questions to answer. The rules of this award are simple:

  1. Thank to blogger(s) that nominated you
  2. Answer the 11 questions given to you in your nomination
  3. Nominate 5-11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers
  4. Inform those people that they’ve been nominated
  5. Give them 11 (mostly book-related) questions to answer

So, to start out, I was nominated by Aralyn from Paper Addictions and Magic. Read her post here. And awhile back (maybe an embarrassingly long time ago) I was also nominated by Lauren from Comma Hangover, and you can read her post here. Thank you so much to you  both! You’re both amazing.💙

Since I have two sets of questions to answer here, I’ll start with Lauren’s.

Tuesday Tidbit: My Latest Book Haul

Hello!

It’s Tuesday again and I thought today I’d share the books I’ve bought recently! I have been on a bit of a book buying ban the last month, because I needed to give my bank account a break 😉 However, a bookworm can only hold off for so long. And since I’ve been to a bigger city nearby twice in the last week, I was able to visit the glorious landmark known as Barnes and Noble. Did I mention twice? In one week? It sounds too good to be true. So! Look below to see the newest editions to my shelf!

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows.

I really wanted to get this book because a good friend of mine @booksalamode on Instagram, just finished this book and she raved about how funny it is! And I also love The Princess Bride, and it’s been compared to that story as well. Plus, I love the creativity here. Taking a tragic part of history and giving it a new ending? I’m hope Lady Jane Grey would be proud.

So thank you so much Neha from Inky Affairs and Lisa from The Not So Secret Life of a Fan Girl. You both are amazing and your blogs inspire me so much!

This award is given to anyone who inspires their readers and brings sunshine to the blogging community! It’s amazing to receive!

The terms of this award are simple:

  1. Thank the person(s) who nominated you
  2. Answer the Questions that were given to you
  3. Nominate other bloggers for this award and give them your own questions to answer!
  4. Notify those others bloggers of their nomination

Since I was nominated by two different people, I’ll split the questions they gave me into two sections 😊 First up are the questions from Lisa:

Review: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Hello!

Okay, so I finished this book a couple weeks ago, two days after it came out (because yes, I bought it the day of its release at Costco so I didn’t have to wait for shipping if I pre-ordered 😂), but I haven’t written a review. The reason for that is, I always think writing reviews for more popular books isn’t in that high of a demand, because isn’t everyone else also writing a review? But, my last review for Shadow and Bone seemed popular, and I consider that a “popular” book too. So maybe I should rethink things. Or just post a review even if there are lots of reviews, because my views are important too! 😉 Right?
