I am in my second year of nursing school, which means I have very little free time outside of reading gigantic textbooks and taking people's blood pressure. I am part of a wonderful book club, BooksHavePower, which I love so much. I am a native to the Pacific Northwest, and I feel sad in the summer because it stops raining for 2 whole months. I wish I was more creative, but I can't draw, paint, or sew. So, I stick to reading books and baking cookies. Hopefully I'll be brave enough one day to write my own book (I have many ideas). I have a big family, and when we get together its a madhouse of noise and laughter, which is one of my favorite times of the year. I am optimistic. I am a grammar nerd. I am a people-watcher. And I sing songs at the top of my lungs in the car. I believe in finding the little joys in every day, even on your worst day.

When you love someone for their mind, you can’t expect that their heart will belong to you too. It’s funny, that saying ‘I’d rather die’. It’s funny because nobody means it. The truth is that when you’re facing death, there … Continue reading Quote Moment: This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada
