Hi everyone! I have something spontaneous, (hopefully) thoughtful, and reminiscent for you today! A review of my first reread of Twilight in about 13 years. Buckle up for some hot takes! If you are a millennial, a millennial’s mom, an … Continue reading Rereading Twilight 15-Years Later: A Legacy or Letdown?
Hi guys! As promised, here is the second part of my favorite books read in 2019! I’ve been really inconsistent writing blog posts this year 😦 I’m making it a point (dare say, a resolution?) to write more in the … Continue reading 2019 Wrap-Up: My 5-Star Books (Part 2)
Hi guys! 🤗 Can you believe that it’s almost the end of 2019? I could swear it was February like two minutes ago, and I was arguing with myself over how much chocolate is too much to buy yourself for … Continue reading 2019 Wrap-Up: My 5-Star Books (Part 1)
Hey guys! Today I’m going to do a little double review for the first and second books in the Mortal Coil series by Emily Suvada. I originally picked up This Mortal Coil, the first book in the series, on a … Continue reading Double Review: This Mortal Coil & This Cruel Design by Emily Suvada
When you love someone for their mind, you can’t expect that their heart will belong to you too. It’s funny, that saying ‘I’d rather die’. It’s funny because nobody means it. The truth is that when you’re facing death, there … Continue reading Quote Moment: This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada
Okay, I know it’s not technically Tuesday. But I was thinking about this post yesterday (when it was Tuesday!) and I just didn’t have time to post in then. So, next best thing 😉
I was in Best Buy (which is an electronic store, for those who don’t have them around) because my mom was shopping for a new printer. And since I was not that invested in her printer selection, I decided to browse the store a bit. I did the usually things like listening to all the demo speakers, trying on all the Beats headphones, browsing the CD selection and wondering who still buys CDs, and then I found myself in front of the Kindles. So, after being at war with myself for 15 minutes and justifying the purchase (it would be so much easier to read outside because no glare, it would save my phone battery, I could read ARCs so much faster!) I decided to buy a Kindle Paperwhite.

It’s Tuesday again and I thought today I’d share the books I’ve bought recently! I have been on a bit of a book buying ban the last month, because I needed to give my bank account a break 😉 However, a bookworm can only hold off for so long. And since I’ve been to a bigger city nearby twice in the last week, I was able to visit the glorious landmark known as Barnes and Noble. Did I mention twice? In one week? It sounds too good to be true. So! Look below to see the newest editions to my shelf!
My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows.
I really wanted to get this book because a good friend of mine @booksalamode on Instagram, just finished this book and she raved about how funny it is! And I also love The Princess Bride, and it’s been compared to that story as well. Plus, I love the creativity here. Taking a tragic part of history and giving it a new ending? I’m hope Lady Jane Grey would be proud.
