Tuesday Tidbit

Hello again! Three posts in one day? What is this madness! Well, I’ve been a bit under the weather today, with a sore throat and an unfocused brain. Which is to my blogging advantage, I guess. Lots of time to post. So! I decided I wanted something to do every week! A reason to drag myself onto WordPress and post for you guys 😉 I’m thinking it’ll be called Tuesday Tidbit, and I’ll pretty much post whatever I want. 😂 An update on what I’m currently reading, what I think about book news in the world, a new release I just found out about that’s probably been announced for months, or whatever else!

Today’s post will be a bit about what I’m reading currently, which is Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. Most of you probably know it is the second book in her Grisha trilogy, and also know I’m way behind in reading it. In my defense, I’ve been trying to buy less books at full price (because my bank account cries) so I waited patiently until all three books were available from bookoutlet.com. I adore that place 💙

Anyway, I finally have them all and I finished reading Shadow and Bone last night! I really enjoyed that book. A solid 4/5 stars from me. It had all the makings of a powerful fantasy world and characters I could watch grow. How some people have a thing for The Darkling is beyond me 😂 But maybe he gets better. Anyway, starting the second book of a series always makes me a little nervous. Will it live up to the first  book? To my expectations? In this case, to the extreme hype of this trilogy? We’ll find out together! I’m three chapters in and it’s feeling pretty solid. I’ll update you guys on how it goes 😉

Thanks for reading!

Cheers! ☕️

  1. This series is absolutely awesome! How is Book Outlet? I have never ordered from there, I am always worried the books will come damaged. I mean, for their low prices, their must be something wrong. At least, that is my thinking.

    1. They are amazing and the books come perfect! I don’t know how they do it 😂 There are some books that are marked as “scratched and dented” and those do have some imperfections, but they are always labeled that way. Their other books have always come perfect for me! They even have signed books sometimes. I’d definitely look over their website!
